4th of July Reminders

Whiz!  Boom!  Bang!  The Fourth of July is fast approaching and the local firework stands are popping up everywhere.  Fires can happen with just a spark and spread rapidly.  To reduce the risk of fires caused by fireworks, all residents and their guests need to follow these rules for fireworks anywhere on the property:

The ONLY fireworks permitted at the property are POP-ITS, GROUND BLOOM FLOWERS, SMOKE BALLS, SPARKLERS, and SMALL FOUNTAINS THAT EMIT SHOWERS NOT TO EXCEED THREE FEET IN HEIGHT.

NOTHING WITH REPORT (the gun shot/explosive sound some fireworks make.)

NO AERIALS.

No other type of firework, legal or illegal, will be permitted. No fireworks or pop-its should ever be used on your decks or patios.  Ground bloom flowers and fountains need to be lit in the street only.  (Please keep them away from parked cars.  Driving cars have the right of way.)  Sparklers, smoke balls, and pop-its can be used in the street or your driveway.  Nothing should be lit off (or pop-its) in the parking lot or around the sidewalks of the office or managers unit.  You are responsible for the clean up of your fireworks, including pop-its, and party poppers (the little plastic things filled with colored paper).  Residents who do not clean up their fireworks mess will be charged for our staff to clean up for them.  Please remember that you are responsible for any damages to the premises that your fire works cause.
Please understand we are not trying to dampen the holiday spirit, but rather to prevent fires that could quickly spread and affect everyone living here.  If you prefer to put on a bigger and better fireworks display than these rules allow, please find somewhere off site to do so – check with the city for acceptable locations.
